Adoption Option

Every attempt is made to reunify our La Cuna children with their biological family. Approximately half of the time this is not possible. All long-term (3 months or longer) La Cuna placements where there is no reunification with kin, result in the option to adopt being extended to our La Cuna foster parents. The San Diego County Adoptions Unit facilitates these adoptions and ultimately makes the final decision.
